It was stylish and special hotel for a short break. The room was huge and I appreciated the original-style building. The property was in an unbeatable location, to the local area. Besides, it was very close to the restaurant, the Hill and the Manor House. There was a superb bar and exceptional food at the grill restaurant.

The environment and the character of each room. Each one is decorated in a different style and having seen several friends rooms who were staying at the same time I found them all to be very nice and luxurious.
There were no baked beans in the traditional english breakfast!!!

We found the service in the Cassis dining room, absolutely excellent, with unintrusive service in a relaxing atmosphere. We had to wait for some of the courses, but we presumed they were being made as individual portions, not left warming on a hot tray somewhere, so thst did not worry us at all. The bedroom was very comfortably furnished, but on a personal taste it was just a bit this side of kitch, Too much silver paint and crystal for our preference, but a very comfortable bed and bath.

Reception staff helpful prior to arrival. Lovely, peaceful, ground floor room, overlooking the garden. Well designed & plush furnishings. Loved the bathroom with Victorian style slipper bath & separate shower cubicle. One of the most comfortable nights sleep we have had in a hotel. Cassis restaurant served excellent food. Although restaurant was busy service was good. Memorable wedding anniversary & we will be returning.
Problem booking Cassis restaurant, as it was busy. This was rectified by a phone call to the restaurant manager, who was very helpful. Some food could have been hotter & the red wine would have been better if decanted ( i had a mouth full of sediment) The menu in Fred's bar & lounge could be expanded, as we felt it read like a pub menu.

Lovely room. Spacious. Tastefully decorated. Restful decor. Large, comfortable bed. Quality toiletries.
Tea/Coffee making facilities weren't near a plug socket, so a bit of a chore moving everything over to other side of room. Other than that, nothing!

The room provided an excellent view, and the comfortable sofa was a nice touch for relaxation. Staff were friendly and the hotel grounds were a beautiful aspect of the experience. The dining options could have been more varied, and certain amenities were a bit outdated. It was lovely with its clean, spacious accommodations and great service.

Arrived late due to business commitments. Unable to get a hot meal due to arrival at 10.15pm. Needed a hot bath after driving for 6 hours but after an inch of water the water stopped running. Did not want to bother the staff at 11pm

The room was amazing with a spacious layout and a fantastic walk-in shower. I really enjoyed the steam room and the foot massage in the spa, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The only hiccup was a bit of a wait for the dinner service, but overall, it was a lovely experience and I can't recommend it enough! 😊
